Nature of Equipment and Warranty Service Model
The Customer acknowledges that products supplied by 3D Printing Aus are professional, commercial, educational, engineering, scientific and manufacturing equipment.
The intended use stated by the Customer, including hobby, recreational, educational, personal or home-based use, does not alter the nature, design, intended market or technical characteristics of the equipment supplied.
Professional, commercial and manufacturing equipment remains professional, commercial and manufacturing equipment regardless of where it is operated or the Customer’s chosen purpose for using it.
The Customer acknowledges that many products supplied by 3D Printing Aus contain field-serviceable components designed by the manufacturer to be maintained, adjusted, calibrated, repaired or replaced by the operator.
Accordingly, warranty support will generally be provided in the first instance through remote diagnosis, technical assistance, troubleshooting guidance and, where appropriate, the supply of replacement parts, assemblies or modules.
Your remedies under 3D Printing Aus Warranty
During the period of 3D Printing Aus Warranty, if You choose to make a claim under 3D Printing Aus Warranty and the Covered Item suffers a Breakdown that does not fall within the categories of Exclusions, then We may, at Our discretion:
Provide remote technical assistance, troubleshooting guidance and reasonable support to help identify and remedy the fault; or
Supply replacement parts, assemblies or modules for installation by You or Your nominated technician; or
Repair the Covered Item; or
Replace the Covered Item in accordance with our Replacement Terms; or
Provide a refund.
Warranty Support and Repair
We will usually attempt to resolve the issue in the first instance by working with You to identify the nature of the issue by phone, email, photographs, videos, log files, test results or other information reasonably requested.
Customers are expected to provide reasonable assistance during fault diagnosis and to carry out reasonable troubleshooting procedures as requested.
Where a fault can reasonably be remedied through replacement of a field-serviceable component, We may supply replacement parts, assemblies or modules together with installation guidance rather than require the Covered Item to be returned for repair.
The Customer acknowledges that replacement parts supplied under warranty will normally be installed by the Customer or the Customer’s nominated technician.
We may provide reasonable assistance with installation by phone, email, video call, written instructions or manufacturer documentation where appropriate.
Where We determine that the fault cannot reasonably be resolved through remote diagnosis, troubleshooting or replacement of field-serviceable components, We may require the Covered Item to be returned for assessment, repair, replacement or refund.
Alternatively, We may direct You to the nearest service centre.
We will not always elect to physically repair the Covered Item. For example, if We determine that remote support, replacement parts, replacement of the Covered Item or refund are more appropriate, effective or economical, We may elect to provide those remedies instead.
Repair Notice: You should be aware that, in some circumstances, goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same or similar type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.
Should We find the item does not have faults that are covered by warranty, the costs of assessment, freight, storage, repair and related charges shall be payable before the item is released.
If the item is not found to demonstrate faults covered by warranty, Our assessment fees applicable at that time shall still be payable.
Upon payment of any charges due, the item must be collected or shipping arrangements made within 14 days unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If fees remain unpaid or the item remains uncollected for more than 30 days after notice has been given, 3D Printing Aus may charge reasonable storage fees, dispose of the item, sell the item to recover monies owing, or otherwise deal with the item as reasonably necessary.
Any reasonable costs incurred in assessing, storing, recovering, disposing of or selling the item shall remain payable by the Customer.
Replacement Terms
If We elect to replace the Covered Item then We will replace the Covered Item with an identical item or, if an identical item is not available, an item with equivalent specifications to the Covered Item. The cost of replacement will not exceed the original Purchase Price of the Covered Item.
Note: The replacement product We supply may have a lower selling price than the Covered Item and is a replacement based on equivalent specifications. Replacement of a Covered Item is not limited to the original manufacturer’s brand due to availability of products and changes in technology.
Where the original brand is no longer available for any reason, we may supply an equivalent product.
We also have the right to replace products with refurbished, & repaired items.
